In this video I’m going to go over what lycrica is and how it’s used. I’m also going to share a few alternative medicine that can also help.
Before I get started down below is a link where I”m giving away a free video guide to dietary supplements and alternative medicine!
Lycrica is a prescription drug without insurance if you went down to Rite Aid the cost for 30 capsules at 150 milligrams would be around $150 dollars.
What it’s used for is to help with fibromyalgia, which causes a lot of pain in muscles, it helps control seizures and to treat nerve damage. If your wondering how someone gets nerve damage, Anything from diabetes, shingles or a spinal chord injury can cause it.
How exactly the drug works is unclear, but one theory is that it decreases the number of nerve signals and thus relaxes over sensitive nerve cells.
Like all prescription drugs there is always a risk. One large risk is that it’s going to create a bunch of free radicals as your body breaks it down. Free radicals do contribute to a lot of health problems, create wrinkles and possibly cancer.
Other common side effects would be insomnia, depression and dizziness.
Apart from this drug one alternative medicine that could help would be to take a good multivitamin supplement. A lot of the B vitamins play a big role in the nervous system and being deficient in 1 could cause some big problems.
There is also a big connection between vitamin D and fibromyalgia. For example a study lead by Dr. Florian Wepner of orthopedic hospital Vienna took 30 women with fibromyalgia and low levels of vitamin D. Some of the women took a vitamin D supplement and some didn’t. 50 weeks later the women that took a supplement received less pain and morning fatigue.
Also consuming more omega 3 fats such as with a supplement does have a direct impact on the nervous system. In a study published in the 2005 issue of Epilepsy Behavior suggest that omega 3 supplements could reduce the frequency of seizures.
Lastly warm baths, exercise, keeping blood sugar under control and messages might help as well.
There really are tons of more options. If you are interested in more alternative medicine and supplements and how they can help I highly encourage you to check out a free video guide I created.
It goes over the 10 signs a supplement should be avoided. Ingredients you want to avoid and a whole lot more. You can learn more by clicking on the link below this video.
