Gastroparesis is a problem with the stomach not working properly. It is also called delayed gastric emptying. With gastroparesis, food in the stomach empties slowly into the small intestine. This can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, fullness after meals, bloating (usually above the belly button), and pain.

Gastroparesis is common in people with diabetes. Learn more at www.gastro.org/gastroparesis.
