Scientists Create First Human-Sheep Hybrids Scientists grew embryos containing both sheep and human cells creating a hybrid creature, that’s 99 percent sheep and 0.01 percent human. The Stanford University project tests how organs grown in animals can be used for transplants in humans. The project could even be used to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes. It could also help alleviate the shortage of organ donors.
